Downpipe rehabilitation
A new, DIBT- approved method in our industry is the internal rehabilitation of rainwater or wastewater pipes using synthetic resin.

Whether horizontal or vertical, this type of rehabilitation can be used without difficulty. Previously, methods were based on a resin-impregnated carrier material (partial liners, so-called short liners, cured-in-place pipe liners, etc.). Especially with nominal diameters smaller than DN100, and with multiple bends and branches, these methods quickly reached their limits. Therefore, a new rehabilitation method derived from injection molding technology was developed. A special injection molding pump, ElastoTec, applies a two-component plastic compound directly into the pipe to be rehabilitated, either by brushing or injecting it. This is done via a flexible hose system that can be inserted up to 20 meters long and through several 90° bends. At the end of the hose are a rotary nozzle or brush attachments that apply the material evenly to the inner wall. Due to the very short drying time and rapid curing, several layers can be applied in immediate succession. Only a few layers or work processes are necessary for a required wall thickness of 3 mm. Prior cleaning and drying of the pipe is essential for a lasting, successful renovation. This new technology makes it possible to reliably create a seamless and permanently like-new surface inside any pipe material, without damaging existing structures.
